Green Hills Residential Care Service in East Maitland redefines residential care with a newly redeveloped facility that seamlessly integrates comfort, independence, and community, supported by Crown Furniture’s tailored solutions for enhanced living.
Residential care should feel like home — calm, comfortable, and connected. At Fresh Hope Communities – Green Hills Residential Care Service in East Maitland, that vision has been fully realised through thoughtful architecture, a resident-focused care model, and a strong commitment to wellbeing. This newly redeveloped 158-bed facility is designed to promote independence and meaningful connection among residents. After understanding the scope and intention of the project, Crown Furniture, in collaboration with designers Calderflower, was engaged to provide a tailored furniture solution that supports the vision of living well at every stage.
Each wing of Green Hills is arranged like a pinwheel, accommodating small groups of 15–16 residents in private rooms with ensuites. These groups share access to their own dining, kitchen, and lounge areas. Crown Furniture responded to this unique layout by curating furniture that enhances comfort, accessibility, and warmth. The result is a series of living spaces that feel familiar and personal—supporting ease of movement, daily routines, and social connection.
With a clear commitment to supporting the independence of residents, Fresh Hope Communities sought solutions that blended residential character with the functional demands of aged care. Crown Furniture delivered on this brief through fit-for-purpose designs that meet clinical needs while preserving the aesthetic integrity of the space. Furniture was selected to encourage interaction, promote comfort, and maintain a calm and welcoming environment.
Crown Furniture played a key role in furnishing a variety of shared areas in the residence, including wellness centres, multipurpose lounges, dining, and outdoor recreation spaces. To meet these diverse needs, Crown Furniture offered a flexible and well-considered suite of furniture options, ensuring every piece complemented the purpose of the space. From thoughtful ergonomics to refined finishes, each choice was made to support resident wellbeing.
This collaboration extended well beyond product delivery. Through early engagement and a deep understanding of the project’s objectives, Crown Furniture was able to anticipate needs and ensure the result aligned with both the design vision led by Calderflower and the care priorities of Fresh Hope Communities. The outcome is a residence that supports care teams, empowers residents, and brings the values of Fresh Hope Communities to life.
