Every business has an impact on its location and the people around it, and we want our effect to be as positive as we can make it.
Indigenous peoples
Some of our employees belong to the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. Within our business, we encourage any involvement with their communities and culture. For example, each year we support NAIDOC week – reinforcing our respect for, and commitment to, the traditional owners and ongoing custodians of the land.
Charity support
We feel it’s only right to give back to the community. We’ve been supporting the Cancer Council Australia since 2013, and Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is a much-loved annual event for us. We also support the Rapid Relief Team, which helps charities, government and emergency services to tackle some of humankind’s greatest challenges.
Encouraging young people
We believe only fair that young people get a chance to fulfil their dreams. But they often need help thinking about their options and getting a foot on the career ladder. That’s why we offer workplace experience to HSC students before they enter the workforce, helping them to upskill and to get a taste of working life.
