Crown Furniture worked closely with BaptistCare and Calderflower Architects to deliver tailored furniture solutions that support the facility’s unique household care model. Each of the six residential households is home to 16 residents and features a central domestic-style kitchen, intimate lounges and dining areas that feel familiar and inviting.
Every piece was selected for its functionality, elegance and adaptability to merge seamlessly with the architectural intent. We also prioritised the needs of people living with dementia, utilising furnishings with appropriate security and comfort levels. Crown’s proven expertise in aged care allowed the team to recommend materials, finishes and forms that support resident wellbeing, ensuring easy mobility, appropriate seat height and sensory familiarity, all while maintaining a warm, residential aesthetic.
Through a people-first approach, furniture was positioned not just as décor but as a catalyst for living well. From communal gathering spaces to quiet nooks, each area encourages choice, comfort and connection.
Crown Furniture commitment extended through to installation, providing ongoing consultation and refinement to ensure the result reflected BaptistCare’s home-style vision. The end result is more than a furnished space — it is a living environment where residents feel recognised, supported and at home.
At Glendale Lodge, living well means feeling known. Guided by BaptistCare’s people-first values, this new community in Elderslie offers aged care that feels deeply personal, grounded in familiarity and designed to enrich daily life.
