From June 18 to 20, 2025, leaders from across Australia’s retirement living sector gathered at The Star Brisbane Events Centre for the National Retirement Living Summit 2025, three days dedicated to shaping communities where older Australians can thrive.

For Crown Furniture, attending this year’s summit for the first time was a significant milestone. It was our privilege and honour to stand as one of the major sponsors of an event that sits at the heart of the retirement living conversation. The summit brought together operators, developers, investors and industry partners to explore sustainability, resident expectations, financial resilience and the evolving definition of community in later life.

Retirement living is entering a new chapter. Today’s residents are seeking more than accommodation. They are seeking connection, autonomy, design quality and environments that reflect the lives they have built. This shift calls for spaces that feel warm and welcoming while remaining practical, durable and safe.

As an Australian owned and operated company with more than 50 years of expertise, Crown Furniture has grown alongside the seniors living sector. We design and manufacture fit for purpose, premium furniture tailored to retirement communities, aged care and broader healthcare environments. Every collection is guided by a simple principle: furniture should inspire daily living. It should support independence, withstand the demands of shared spaces and contribute to an atmosphere of comfort and dignity.

Throughout the summit, our team Tony Cao, Chief Financial and Operations Officer, Tom Byrne, Chief Revenue Officer, James Martin, Sales Director and Phillip Lee, Account Manager, engaged with delegates at our exhibition stand, discussing how thoughtful design can positively influence resident experience and operational efficiency. From lounge and dining settings to communal and wellness spaces, conversations centred on how furniture choices shape first impressions and long term satisfaction within retirement communities.

The Welcome Function offered a memorable opportunity to connect more personally with attendees. Many delegates visited our photobooth, bringing warmth and energy to the evening. Those shared moments of laughter and conversation reflected the very essence of retirement living: community, belonging and human connection.

We are sincerely grateful to everyone who spent time with our team across the three days. The insights exchanged and partnerships strengthened reaffirm our commitment to the sector. Retirement living is about creating places where people continue to live fully and confidently, and Crown Furniture remains dedicated to crafting environments that support that journey for generations to come.

We look forward to continuing these conversations and will see you all at the National Retirement Living Summit 2026.
