A day of design, connection and new perspectives on the future of healthcare environments.
On 26 August 2026, Crown Furniture, in partnership with Arc Agency, hosted an immersive furniture showcase at The Calyx, Royal Botanic Garden Sydney, bringing together architects, interior designers, specifiers and industry partners.
Set within one of Sydney’s most distinctive spaces, the event created an opportunity to explore new ideas, discover furniture solutions and consider the evolving role of design in healthcare environments.
The event opened with welcome remarks from James Martin and Tom Byrne, setting the tone for a day focused on innovation, wellbeing and user centred design. The Crown Furniture Healthcare Team, Head of Creative and Interior Designers welcomed guests throughout the day, sharing insights and showcasing furniture solutions designed around the needs of patients, residents, staff and visitors.
The event attracted a diverse cross section of the architecture, interior design and healthcare community, with professionals from a broad range of organisations and disciplines. Architects, interior designers, specifiers and senior design leaders were well represented, creating a valuable platform for meaningful conversations, knowledge sharing and new connections.
At the heart of the showcase was a curated selection of Crown Furniture solutions, including the Ryno Collection, Boden Rocker, Fortis Elevate Bed, Sedo Collection, Fuso Collection and selected Pavilion pieces. Together, the collections demonstrate a considered approach to healthcare furniture, balancing safety, durability and functionality with comfort, wellbeing and a more human experience.
The Checkpoint Challenge added an interactive element to the showcase, guiding guests through curated touchpoints across the venue and encouraging product exploration, conversation and connection.
As part of the challenge, participants had the opportunity to take home a Pavilion by Crown Furniture side table, adding a thoughtful element of discovery to the day. Congratulations to our Checkpoint Challenge winners: Design Intent KC, Reinvent, Cloudera, Mirvac, ICT, MB Spec, Interiors by Tiffany and Calderflower.
Beyond the products, the event created space for meaningful conversations around emerging healthcare design trends, changing user expectations and the importance of creating environments that support better experiences for everyone.
