Crown Furniture was pleased to reconnect with our community at the 2026 Future Justice and Corrections Summit. Held from 24 to 25 March at Marvel Stadium, the event brought together leaders from across Australia and New Zealand to explore how reform, rehabilitation, and the built environment can deliver better outcomes for people in custody.

Marking its 10th year, the summit reflected a clear shift towards more rehabilitative, recovery-focused approaches. Across the program, conversations centred on how systems, services, and environments can work together to reduce re-offending, strengthen community connection, and support lasting change. One message was consistent. Environments matter. Thoughtfully designed spaces can shape behaviour, support wellbeing, and contribute to safer, more effective rehabilitation.

At the heart of our participation was the Ryno® Modular range, showcased at Booth #20. Our Healthcare team, Terry Wallace, Hartley Pedersen, and Agnes Fotu, welcomed delegates and shared how the collection addresses ligature and concealment risks while remaining robust, secure, and adaptable in use. The 180 Challenge added an interactive moment, inviting attendees to engage more closely with the product in a hands-on way.

More than a furniture provider, Crown Furniture is honoured to contribute to the sector’s progress through purposeful, problem led design. The program created a meaningful space for connection and exchange, and we look forward to building on the conversations it inspired.
